West Indies fail to qualify for the ICC World Cup 2023

On 1st July 2023,at Harare Sports Club,Harare in Zimbabwe,West Indies lost a very crucial match of Super Sixer ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers against Scotland.With this loss West Indies now lost its all first 3 matches of Super Sixes Group and are out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.This is the first time ever in the history that West Indies fail to qualify in the World Cup.

Scotland bowled very well and bowled West Indies out in mere score of 181(43.5 overs).They were exceptional in the field and took some brilliant catches.And then bat with very discipline and won the match in 43.3 overs with 7 wickets remaining. This is one of the most embarrassing defeats of West Indies.Certainly,it was a very poor performance by West Indies with Holder being the top scorer with 45 runs only.

Scotland: 185/3 in 43.3 overs (Matthew Cross 74 not out, Brandon McMullen 69; Akeal Hosein 1-26, Romario Shepherd 1- 28)

Result: Scotland won by 7 wickets (Brandon McMullen: Man of the Match)

With this win Scotland deny a berth to West indies in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup to be hosted by India.
