Australia clinches victory in the 2nd Ashes Test, leads 2-0.

Australia clinched the second victory in the Ashes Series 2023 on Sunday,2nd July at Lord’s, London. It was quite a neck-to-neck match till England were 6 wickets down. English batsmen were outplayed when Stokes got out. Before he got out to a ball of Hazelwood which was not so short and caught out by Alex Carey, who is known for much more than his batting and keeping skills in this match.

Earlier, in the 52nd over of the 4th innings,it was a wide-off short ball bowled to Bairstow by Green. Bairstow left the ball alone and started walking towards his partner as it was the last ball too if the over, he did not give any kind of indication to the keeper or slip cordon but he surely he has no intention or even a thought to go for a run but walked out of the crease in a leisure manner and Carey directly hit the ball and Bairstow was nowhere in the frame and eventually got stumped out.

This incident even heated up the players who were out in the middle there with Stokes and Bairstow but if we talk about the rules then it clearly states that a player cannot be out of the crease until the ball is dead. It certainly heated up the series in a different manner and England will never forget it. Stuart Board was heard saying to Alex Carey on stumps mic “You will always be remembered for that”

This match wasn’t only about controversies but an inhuman super-heroic effort with the bat by that man again ‘Ben Stokes’.An innings of 155 runs including 9 sixes and 9 fours, threatened to steal the win but Aussies has shown the world once again why they are the World Test Champions. With the full one ball fired like a bullet on the stumps by Starc, Tongue was bowled out and Australia wins comfortably by 43 runs and leads the series 2-0.
